KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 also compatible with Tigo TS4 platform

Installers and homeowners can now benefit from enhanced safety, module-level monitoring and maximized energy production with the combined use of Tigo and KOSTAL.

KOSTAL Solar Electric has successfully tested the compatibility of its new inverter models with the TS4 platform of Flex MLPE from TIGO. This means that the PLENTICORE G3 is now joining the compatible inverters PLENTICORE plus and PIKO IQ. Owners can now integrate further safety, monitoring and optimization functions into their PV system that works at the solar module level.

Tigo also has innovations in store

KOSTAL has already successfully tested optimizers from the TS4 series in the past and is now pleased to expand compatibility to the new TS4-X units. All TS4 devices provides the possibility to implement module level Rapid Shutdown function, de-energizing system to a safe voltage and protecting first responders and fire-fighters.

In short, the combination of KOSTAL inverters and TIGO TS4 products is ideal for PV systems that require module monitoring or additional fire protection.

Perfect compatibility with all TIGO TS4 components makes KOSTAL solar and hybrid inverters even more flexible to use.

Smooth communication and reliability

Tigo’s cloud-monitored units (TS4-A-O, TS4-X-O, TS4-A-S, and TS4-X-S) transfer production and system data to the Energy Intelligence software platform via wireless interfaces such as CCA (Cloud Connect Advanced) and TAP (TIGO Access Point). This allows the status of the TS4 modules to be continuously monitored and the device to be automatically or manually switched off in emergencies such as a fire brigade intervention. The TS4 range is completed by a solution specifically designed for fire safety (TS4-A-F, TS4-A-2F, and TS4-X-F), initiating rapid shutdown via PLC through a RSS Transmitter.

The use of TIGO Flex MLPE devices is also recommended if fire protection precautions are required. Users benefit from cloud-based monitoring of the system and from digital platforms such as the KOSTAL Solar Portal and TIGO Energy Intelligence, which are available free of charge.

The combination of KOSTAL inverters and Tigo TS4 platform can be flexibly adapted to different system requirements. End customers can select the features that best suit their needs – whether it is for optimiaztion, monitoring or rapid shutdown – and easily integrate them into existing PV systems.

KOSTAL and Tigo will honour the warranty claims if the modules are properly installed and used. This gives customers a reliable system that is supported by both manufacturers. This gives customers additional security and confidence in the durability and quality of their system.

The tested and approved Tigo TS4 units include:
- TS4-A-M, TS4-X-M for monitoring
- TS4-A-F, TS4-X-F and TS4-A-2F for rapid shutdown,
- TS4-A-S, TS4-X-S for monitoring and rapid shutdown,
- TS4-A-O, TS4-X-O for optimization, monitoring and rapid shutdown.

About Tigo TS4 Modules

The Tigo TS4 modules, as used in the collaboration with KOSTAL, offer power optimization, module-level monitoring and rapid shutdown functions. As a modular platform, the TS4 range includes solutions specifically designed for rapid shutdown (TS4-A-F, TS4-A-2F, and TS4-X-F), solutions to monitor performance and enhance safety (TS4-A-S, TS4-X-S), as well as an all-in-one unit bringing together optimization, rapid shutdown and monitoring (TS4-A-O, TS4-X-O). These modules ensure greater efficiency and safety for solar installations, while also enabling reliable remote monitoring and flexible adaptation to the specific requirements of each PV system.
