First installation of PLENTICORE G2 and PLENTICORE G3 with ZYC Energy batteries, carried out by Empordà Solar

The installation provides clean energy to an gourmet product company in Palamós and demonstrates the efficient coexistence of the KOSTAL inverter's PLENTICORE G2 and PLENTICORE G3.

Pioneering installation in Spain combines KOSTAL and ZYC Energy at Antoni Izquierdo Gourmet

Antoni Izquierdo Gourmet, SL, a company that produces sofritos, gourmet preserves and products derived from the highly valued Palamós prawn, has debuted the first installation in Spain that combines KOSTAL inverters with ZYC Energy batteries. The company responsible for the execution, Empordà Solar (Certified KOSTAL Installer), has taken advantage of the solutions offered by KOSTAL to provide the plant with clean electricity to meet a good portion of its energy needs.

"We opted for a PLENTICORE G3 L (15kW), expanded up to 20 kW, the most powerful in KOSTAL's residential family, because it allowed us to manage all the equipment in the installation through the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter," explained Jordi Feliu, responsible for Empordà Solar," and to achieve the power we were looking for, we decided to complement it with a PLENTICORE G2 of 5.5 kW".

PLENTICORE G2 and PLENTICORE G3, a perfect match

The combination of the PLENTICORE G2 with the PLENTICORE G3 allowed for obtaining all the functionalities of the latest generation of KOSTAL equipment with a good value for money by taking advantage of the classic model of the German manufacturer to meet the needs.

"For installers, the fact that the PLENTICORE G2 and PLENTICORE G3 generations of PLENTICORE coexist is very advantageous and makes perfect sense. You can profit from the extra functionalities of the PLENTICORE G3 while maintaining the high levels of efficiency and reliability that the PLENTICORE G2 has demonstrated abundantly," Feliu emphasized.

ZYC Energy debuts in Spain with KOSTAL

For the installation, Empordà Solar used 14 SIMPO HV battery modules from ZYC Energy, each with a capacity of 3.2 kWh, distributed in two towers of 7 modules. In this way, the plant reaches 44.8 kWh of energy storage.

For the commissioning, the installation company received assistance and support from the technical service of KOSTAL Solar Electric Ibérica, with whom they completed the installation of the first plant in Spain that combines the inverters of the German manufacturer with the ZYC Energy battery brand.
